5S

The 5S method refers to the Japanese terms: SEIRI, SEITON, SEISO, SEIKETSU, SHITSUKE.

The 5S method allows for an organized work place and total visibility of the necessary equipment, environment and services.

It is translated as:

  1. Seiri: eliminate the useless.
  2. Seiton: tidy up and organize.
  3. Seiso: clean thoroughly with the goal of determining anomalies.
  4. Siketsu: render evident, render visible, equipment, instruments, areas.
  5. Shitsuke:maintain the level obtained through discipline.
